Cockshott Point Near Bowness

Cockshott Point is a short walk from Bowness Pier. There are plenty of photographic opportunities alongside Lake Windermere, especially if the weather is as good as it was on this particular day. 

Forget all the hustle and bustle of holidaymakers in the summer months at nearby Bowness itself, this is much more tranquil location. 

Adhering to the 10mph speed limit on the Lake. 

'Swan' - well laden with passengers - heading for Bowness Pier on its sailing from Lakeside to Waterhead.

A little bit 'arty' perhaps, but a photo I particularly like.

One of the smaller launches heading for the Windermere Ferry Landing on the east side of the Lake. 

What a stunning backdrop for mooring your boat.

The town of Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway has a population of less than 2,000.  The first photo shows the main street, Newton Stewart. All photo's in this series were taken by Lynda Braithwaite.

Sizergh Barn Farm & Woodland Trail: Part 2 of 2

Following on from yesterday's set of photo's, we are in the woodland section of the Trail now. 

Narrow path, but you almost had the woods to yourself.

Sizergh Barn is a working farm, with a superb shop and cafe, south of Kendal. This set of photo's were taken on a walk around the Farm Trail and Woodland Walk.

Nether Barr, Near Newton Stewart

Nether Barr is a self catering property near Newton Stewart in South West Scotland. As can be seen from above, and the views that follow, the garden was magnificent. All the photo's in this series were taken by Lynda Braithwaite.
