A photographic journey around the North West Of England, mainly Cumbria and North Lancashire, but sometimes further afield. An ageing, but enthusiastic amateur photographer, with a very well used bus pass, however, occasionally travelling by train or car. Please Note: None of the images are digitally enhanced in any way - what you see is what I see.

Bowness: Lake Windermere: The Locals!
There is a large all-year round resident population of locals at Bowness Pier. They are more than happy to help share any food that day trippers and tourists bring with them. Crisps, sandwiches, pies etc.
Reinforcements arriving. Possibly been for a stroll into the town at Bowness.
And also joined by a couple of ducks.
A mass gathering of locals as a boat, in the background, arrives at Bowness Pier from Waterhead, Ambleside.
