A photographic journey around the North West Of England, mainly Cumbria and North Lancashire, but sometimes further afield. An ageing, but enthusiastic amateur photographer, with a very well used bus pass, however, occasionally travelling by train or car. Please Note: None of the images are digitally enhanced in any way - what you see is what I see.

Coniston Water
Coniston Water, known locally simply as Coniston, is the third largest lake in the Lake District. It is five miles long and half a mile wide. I hold my hands up and admit, this was the very first time I had been down to the shore!
The Bluebird Cafe.
The Coniston ranger boat.
General view along the shore, with the Bluebird Cafe just seen on the left.
