A photographic journey around the North West Of England, mainly Cumbria and North Lancashire, but sometimes further afield. An ageing, but enthusiastic amateur photographer, with a very well used bus pass, however, occasionally travelling by train or car. Please Note: None of the images are digitally enhanced in any way - what you see is what I see.

Views From The Kirkstone Pass Bus
This set of images were all taken out of the window of the bus from Windermere to Penrith, one of the best bus routes for scenery in the Lake District. In the winter the service only operates between Penrith and Patterdale.
The Kirkstone Pass Inn is the third highest pub in England.
The bus was lightly loaded for this Sunday service.
