The Carleton Inn has been closed for quite some time, yet no one has bothered to remove the signage. The premises are now used by the C2 Night Club, with an entrance on the Promenade.

Morecambe: Regent Road Shops: Part 1 of 2

Having recently featured the shops of Yorkshire Street, we return to Morecambe's West End and visit Regent Road. 

Body & Sole. Closed. 

The West End Indoor Market was housed in the Alhambra Building, however, it moved a few months ago to new premises further along the Promenade at the Empire Buildings, which were formerly home to the Reebok shop. 

Col's man and van removals and second hand goods shop.

There appears to be a number of tanning shops in Morecambe and Lancaster. Here's another one.

The Buildings of Milnthorpe

There are buildings of varied architectural design around the Square in Milnthorpe.  

This one seems to have been 'tucked' in between buildings either side.

I couldn't resist this. Taken on a zoom for obvious reasons, a gang of ageing bikers enjoying a pit stop at that well known Milnthorpe institution, Sue's Food Bar. Their 'machines' were parked out of picture to the left. 

Over Kellet

The village green at Over Kellet. Situated a mile and half from Carnforth.

A rather imposing residence. 

This shield was on the side of a house.

The sun was very low in the sky, hence the glare, which was very difficult to avoid.
