Fortrose is on the Black Isle north of Inverness. At one stage it was the end of a branch railway line from the Muir of Ord, which closed to passengers in June 1960. |
The ruins of Fortrose Cathedral. The sandstone building dates from the 13th century. |
The Union Tavern pub was up for sale. |
Anderson's Bar, the other pub in Fortrose, has a very good reputation for ales, however, it has always been shut whenever we have visited! |
Colourful shop front. |
