The Chapel ruins,
Named after the Irish Saint, Finian, who was educated at nearby Whithorn and died around AD579.
Excavations at the Chapel took place in 1950, and it is believed to date back to the 10th or the 11th century.

Located overlooking Luce Bay, the Chapel became a stopping point for Pilgrims on their way to the nearby Shrine of Whithorn. The Pilgrims would have made the sea journey from Ireland.
