Portinscale

The village of Portinscale is near Keswick. This first view shows the village from the front of the Dalegarth Hotel. All photo's in this series were taken by Mooncat755.
The garden at Dalegarth Hotel.
The Dorothy Well.
The well is dedicated to 'Dorothy,' the daughter of the Rev. Christain, vicar of Crosthwaite, 1728-1758.
Cottages in the village.
Hard to believe that this used to be the main road through Portinscale, the village now having been by-passed.

More cottages.
A seat with a view of the River Derwent.
