Views From The Kirkstone Pass Bus

This set of images were all taken out of the window of the bus from Windermere to Penrith, one of the best bus routes for scenery in the Lake District. In the winter the service only operates between Penrith and Patterdale.

The Kirkstone Pass Inn is the third highest pub in England.
The bus was lightly loaded for this Sunday service.

The turning for the hamlet of Hartsop.

Sunlight on the tops of the mountains.
An isolated place to live.
