Lancaster: Castle & Priory Area

There are numerous photographic possiblities around the area of Lancaster Castle and Priory. Just off the bustling city centre, it is a real hidden gem, with buildings of historical merit. This is looking up St. Mary's Gate.
Just a glimpse of Lancaster Castle up the narrow Nip Hill.
Down the hill toward the city centre.
From the steps leading to Lancaster Priory, out across the city centre. The dome of the Ashton memorial in Williamson Park can just be seen on the horizon.
One of the many fine buildings.
Across the castle green.
There are buildings such as this one all around the green.
St. Mary's Parade.
This is the castle end of Nip Hill.
Castle Hill.
Another view of the green with the castle just visible on the right.
