Lancaster City Centre

The Queen Victoria statue in Dalton Square, with the Town Hall clock tower in the background.
In the other direction. Note the intricate carving of the various figures, all of whom were local dignataries.
Close up of Queen Vic.

The Town Hall.
The Borough pub in Dalton Square.
The centre of Lancaster has been an utter mess for several weeks, with a new sewerage system being installed, as above, plus a pedestrian enhancement scheme, replacing walk ways etc. It has been very noticeable that this disruption has reduced the number of folk visiting the city centre.
Church Street.
Stonewell Tavern.
Moor Lane.
The Sultan of Lancaster Indian Restaurant.
More disruption in the city centre. Work going on everywhere!
Market Street.
The St. Nicholas Arcades has gone all trendy and renamed itself St. Nics.
Inside St. Nics.
Look how quiet it is. Lack of shoppers.
Confused? St Nics is still St. Nicholas Arcades here!!
