Seatoller: Part 1 of 3

The open top bus service that links Keswick with Seatoller in Borrowdale. It is certainly a picturesque setting for a bus to turn around, as can be seen in the next image. I caught the bus from Keswick to be greeted with a short shower of rain, but then Seatoller does have the repuation of being one of the wettest places in the Lake District! Thankfully it soon passed over and we then had bright sunshine.
Glorious Borrowdale.

A row of cottages.

Still a phone box in Seatoller, for there is no mobile signal, as the area is surrounded by mountains.

The start of the climb over Honister Pass.

'Honisters' - where you can buy coffee, home coked food and visit the gift shop.
Looking back down the hill to Seatoller.
Just in case you don't fancy going over Honister Pass, a turning circle is provided.

This car is heading for the Honister Pass.

Except for bikes?
