| There are numerous woodland paths in the Silverdale area (near Carnforth). This is just one of them, a circular walk that takes you to Woodwell, and the village of Silverdale. The start of the walk and into the woodland. |

| You can actually scramble up the cliff to reach a path at the top. However, being a wimp as far as heights are concerned, this was a totally stupid idea. I took the easy path toward Silverdale, as you will see in part two of the walk tomorrow. |
