Sedbergh: Part 1 of 3

The small town of Sedbergh was originally in the West Riding of Yorkshire, and although it is now in the County of Cumbria, it is still in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town is situated about 10 miles east of Kendal and 10 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale. The above view is of the narrow main street, lined with some very old buildings.

There are several individual, specialist shops.
The Bull pub.

Never come across Baby Bull Burgers before!
Colourful view of the main street.
A very non-corporate looking branch of Boots!
Deliveries are very awkward as can be seen, with this van blocking the main street.
Sedbergh United Reformed Church.
Stone engravings on the front of the Church.
That delivery van again, causing a problem or two for those who want to drive by.

Local newspaper headline.
The Dales Way long distance footpath passes through Sedbergh.
Grey sky over Sedbergh.
This alleyway or ginnel is known as The Folly.

Sedbergh is a very popular walking area.
A highly recommended book shop.
