Croston: Part 1 of 2

The village of Croston is a short train ride from Preston on the line to Ormskirk.
The River Yarrow, with the  tower of St. Michael's Church which can be seen throughout the village.
A worn advertisement on a side of a building for the long gone corn miller.

The Crown.

The main road through the centre of the village.
The Wheatsheaf.
The Croston Millennium Stone.
The village green.

Lord Nelson pub.

There are a small number of shops in the village.

Church Street. The village cross and St. Michael's Church in the background.
Interesting character in someone's garden.
Croston Park Nursing Home.
Croston War Memorial.
In the shade.
There are quite a few 'desirable' properties in the village.
