Morecambe Promenade

I walked from the east end of the Promenade back to the central area. I can't say I am particularly fond of this sculpture., called the Venus and Cupid.

The tallest building on the promenade at the junction of Princes Crescent. it does make you wonder how planning permission was granted, as it is certainly not in keeping with the surrounding area.
The paddling pool with Morecambe Bay behind, at low tide. It is not a good isea to venture out there, due the shifting sands, channels and indeed, quicksands.
Looking at the view across the bay.
Since taking this view of the Broadway Hotel, it has been closed and boarded up ready for demolition. It is to be replaced with a block of retirement flats.
Left high and dry until the tide rolls in.

A stroll along the sand.

Morecambe Sailing Club race office.

The Lifeboat shop

There were a few folk out and about in the central area of the promenade, on what was a warm day.
The clock tower.
If you like books, then this is the place to go in Morecambe. Thousands of them for sale.
