Bowness Pier: Part 1 of 2

It is somewhat quieter at this time of the year at Bowness Pier, alongside Lake Windermere. A view of the ticket office for the Windermere cruises.
After the recent rain the lake was higher than usual, as can be seen here covering over part of the jetty.
Looking up the lake towards Waterhead.
A lone yacht.
Swan, duck and boat.
"Got any food?"
Taking a rest.
Taking a dip.
The smaller cruise boats are used on the lake at this time of the year. Arriving at Bowness Pier.
Not 'venturing' out today.
Leaving Bowness Pier for Waterhead.

(Part 2 of Bowness Pier will be featured tomorrow).

  1. Lovely Bowness, hectic in summer but nice out of season. We used to holiday in the Winster area the week before the Easter holidays and it was so relaxing, few people and almost empty car parks!
A lovely set of images that makes me think we should try to get back there.

    1. It's my favourite time of the year to visit Bowness. Not packed with tourists! It makes photography a whole lot easier instead of having to worry about someone walking in front of you.
