| The town of Kendal was very quiet this morning, mainly due to the fact that hardly anyone was venturing out through the snow. However, as can be seen in this view of the 'Birdcage' in Kendal, it was snow-free in the town itself. |

| The New Shambles, Kendal. This used to consist of just butchers shops, with offal simply being placed in the drainage channel that ran down the middle! Things have improved a bit since then!! |
