| The Market Cross shops, built in 1997. This used to be the site of the bus station. There are an abundance of outdoor clothing shops in Ambleside, so much so, I am reliably informed you can buy walking boots there, but nowhere can you get a pair of knickers You have to travel to the shops in Kendal for them. |
