Ullswater

A set of images of Ullswater that I took from the bus, when travelling between Windermere and Penrith.

Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District, being almost 9 miles long.
The road from Glenridding to Penrith follows the west shore of Ullswater for quite a distance.
Some cloud building up over Ullswater.
That water looks cold!
Towards the northern end of Ullswater.

A view across to the east side of Ullswater.

The bus journey is well worth making as it also climbs over the Kirkstone Pass as well before reaching Ullswater.

All manner of food stalls.

Newspaper headline refers to the newly opened Wetherspoon pub. See photo's below.

Keswick: Market Day: Part 1 of 2

Despite the less than inviting weather, overcast and cold, the Saturday Market in Keswick was as popular as ever with plenty of stalls and potential customers.

I would rate this Market as the best in the Lake District.
Unfortunately it started to rain!
