| Manchester Victoria railway station is in the midst of a rebuild, although many of the original features and signage is being retained. It was very much work in progress when I visited the station last week. |

| The station used to be quite gloomy and dark, but the new roof now allows natural light to filter onto the concourse. A vast improvement. |
