Alongside The River Kent In Kendal

A short walk alongside the River Kent in Kendal. Miller Bridge.
There has been some pretty serious flooding from time to time, with the 1898 floods being far the worst.

Unusual plaque alongside the river. The tree can be seen in the image below.

The former Almshouses across the river.
Another view of the footbridge.
Autumn had well and truly arrived, with fallen leaves everywhere.

  2. A nice set of pictures, we used to visit Kendal when in the Lakes and would go to the "K" Shoes factory shop just alongside the river. I believe it's gone now though.
