Grasmere

The regular, all year round, 555 service between Lancaster and Keswick runs right through the heart of the Lake District. Needless to say I am a fairly regular passenger. I had just got off this bus at Grasmere.
At the bottom of Easedale Road.
Broadgate.
The Croft House Bakery is highly recommended for their very tasty range of pasties!
What a difference from the height of summer when this road would be packed with visitors.
Outside the Wordsworth Hotel.
Sarah Nelson Gingerbread shop.

The dog has been shopping in The National Trust shop.
St. Oswald's Church.
Water pump and the Church.

Red Bank Road. I'm heading for a beer at Tweedies Bar.
Red Bank Road in the opposite direction.

Fallen leaves.
A slate house nameplate anyone?
Another bus heading for Keswick, having worked through from Lancaster.

  1. A very nice area, lovely set of pics. Although I have a bus pass the bus services outside Cleethorpes are a bit thin on the ground. You seem to be very well served in the N/W.
