  1. Mike thank you for sharing your beautiful photos of Corbridge. It's a beautiful town isn't it? We visited there often (and surrounding area) when I was growing up in Wallsend (where Hadrian's Wall ended) near Newcastle. I've been back a few times on my holiday home over the years. I'm glad you got good weather while there! I have an old photo of me standing near the old bridge with Corbridge in the background, almost exactly on the same spot where the first photo in this set was taken! Did you go to Hexham too? Another lovely town and where we once considered living.

  2. Thanks Andrea. Pleased the photos brought back a few memories for you. Yes, we did make a visit to Hexham, although only a fleeting one. We are planning possibly to base ourselves there for a week at some stage, although won't be next year. I do have some other photos of Vindolanda and Housesteads, which will appear in the coming days.
