A Walk Around Edinburgh: Part Seven

Entrance to the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust situated in Riddles Court, just off the Lawnmarket. 
Inside this impressively restored courtyard. The buildings here date from the 16th century
Looking in the other direction. 

The 'Golden Hawk' is outside 'Gladstone's Land' an example of an Old Town tenement which was bought by Thomas Gladstone, a merchant, in the 1600s. The building was saved from demolition in 1934 and restored. It is now owned by the National Trust.

The Writers' Museum 'celebrates' the lives of three Scottish writers - Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson. Visitors can view portraits, rare books and personal objects.
