Sedgwick

Sedgwick is located 4.5 miles from Kendal. The village may look quiet in this view, but there was a surprising amount of passing traffic whilst we were there.
The River Kent alongside the lane leading to the village of Sedgwick.

The Lodge and driveway to Sedgwick House, which was built in 1868 by Industrialist, Henry Wakefield.

The Aqueduct that used to carry the Lancaster Canal.

One of the lanes leading out of the village.
The path leading up to the closed section of the Lancaster Canal.
The towpath on the top of the Aqueduct. As can be seen, the course of the canal is somewhat overgrown.
Looking down on the village from the Aqueduct.
Old, steep steps from the canal towpath.
