St. Cuthberts Cave: Part 1 of 2

On the path to St. Cuthberts Cave in Northumberland, which is owned by The National Trust. The cave is believed to date from the 11th century. All photo's in this series were taken by Mooncat755.

Skipton Town Centre: Part 2 of 2

Just after I took this photograph of The Celebrated Pork Pie Establishment, everyone raced for cover as the heavens open again. It poured down! Hope no one had a soggy pie.

I took shelter for about 10 minutes or so in the Craven Court Shopping Centre. 
Time for liquid refreshment at The Devonshire Inn. 

I bought a very tasty pasty at this bakers shop, which is very popular as can be seen by the queue. I am not sure if the two dogs were waiting though!

This referred to a service between Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle and Skipton.

Skipton Town Centre: Part 1 of 2

Saturday was market day in Skipton town centre. It's always a popular venue, full of shoppers and browsers, with the stalls down either side of the main street,

The sky got darker and it started to rain.
Shoppers had scattered for cover as the rain became very heavy

Chillingham Castle: Part 1 of 2

Chillingham Castle is in the village of Chillingham, near Alnwick in Northumberland. It dates from  the 12th century when it was a monastery. It was the seat of the Grey and Bennet families from the 15th century until the 1980s. All photo's in this series were taken by Mooncat755.
