Keswick To Ambleside: A Bus Journey: Part 1 of 2

The weather was so good yesterday, that as part of a day out I travelled on the bus from Keswick to Ambleside, and took a set of images through the front window of the upper deck as we went along. You will note one or two marks on the glass -not my camera lens! However, join me on part one of the journey and enjoy the trip through the snow covered mountains. The first view above is taken at Keswick Bus Station which is alongside Booths supermarket.
Heading out of Keswick beneath blue sky - a rarity in recent days!
The first sighting of snow on the mountain tops.

Dropping down the hill to Dale Bottom, with the snow covered mountains forming an impressive backdrop.

Just leaving Legburthwaite.

King's Head at Thirlspot.

The wooded slopes alongside Thirlmere.
Thirlmere can be seen on the right.
Beginning the climb up to Dunmail Raise.
Nearly at the summit of Dunmail.

(Join me tomorrow for the second part of the journey to Ambleside).
