The Canal At Lancaster

One of my favourite locations in Lancaster for photographs is at the canal side. Even in winter when it is very quiet, there are still narrowboats and cruisers moored there. It was a grey day, overcast, with light drizzle falling.

This was the smallest narrowboat that I saw. Very cosy!
The foot bridge across the canal with the Water Witch pub on the other side. The huge chimney in the background is at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
A view from the foot bridge.

A good placed to be moored, outside the Water Witch pub!

A mirror image.

As can be seen the towpath was extremely muddy in places.
The Albert from Delph.
Artwork on the side of the Albert.
Back at the Water Witch with the drizzle getting ever heavier.

Someone's keeping warm on board.
