Maryport: Part 2 of 3

Continuing the walk around Maryport, we now reach the harbour area and the Elizabeth Dock Bridge.
The lifting bridge is of a strange design!
A closer look at the bridge.
Fishing vessels in the Elizabeth Dock.

All tied up.
Like many ports, Maryport was at one time extremely busy with fishing boats, but as with so many other places, trade has declined in recent years.

You have been warned!
More warnings!

A harbourside property.

This building, housing the aquarium, cafe,  and tourist information centre, looked somewhat out of character in comparison to others.

Absolutely no way would you get me up or down that ladder. I don't 'do' heights.
