I was just looking at the picture that you took of the old and new signals at Carnforth, I used to live in the building that you can see to the right of the signal box back in the early 70s when it was owned by Boddy
Industries, ( R.O. Hodgeson & Withers Limestone ).
It was the age of "Steamtown" and the weekend was always busy with the engines on display.
I visited the area two weeks ago while on a visit to the UK with my two sons, reliving some of my "old days" in what may become the best summer on record.
Keep taking those pictures, so that I can get my daily fill of what I still consider as " home " even after almost 40 yrs here in Canada.
