Priest Hutton

The small village of Priest Hutton is situated north of Carnforth, just half a mile from the neighbouring village of Bowick and two miles from Burton in Kendal. The village appears in the Domesday book as Presthotone.
The village green.
A bench on the green.
The bench is obviously a lot newer than the plaque.
One of the many cottages in the village.

An old fingerpost road sign.
Another plaque and another bench
Here's the bench.
Village pump. Shame about those recycling boxes.
The main road through the village, looking towards Burton in Kendal.
A former shop maybe? Or just a workshop?

The iconic red telephone box has been retained on the village green, although it is just an empty shell.
Priest Hutton is served by three buses each way, Monday to Saturday.
The old village school.

Snowdrops on the road side.
