Rydal

Footbridge over the River Rothay.
A view from the bridge, in one direction ......
.... and then in the other direction.
Looking back over the footbridge.
Rydal from the eastern side.
You have to walk alongside the main road on this side of Rydal, but it is worth it for the ever changing views.

Looking towards Grasmere.
The fells on the east side.
Dora's Field owned by the National Trust.
Dora's Field looks a bit bare at this time of the year.
A welcome refreshment stop at the Badger Bar.
Rydal Lodge.
An attractive cottage.
Entrance to the Church at Rydal.

St. Mary's Church

  1. Memories, memories. A lovely area, my favourite visit here was one Easter when we saw Doras Field full of Daffosils at their best and could hear the organist practicing in the church!
    Lovely images Mike.
