Rydal is very much on the tourist trail due to its link with William Wordsworth.
The Church of St Mary wa sbuilt by Lady Le Fleming of nearby Rydal Hall in 1824. William Wordsworth helped choose the location, which had been an orchard.
The Church is situated in quite a scenic location.
The west side of the Church.
A millennium Garden was created in the Church grounds.
I was the only one in the Church. It was so peaceful! Not a sound. Looking towards the altar.
A view in the other direction.
Impressive stained glass window.
And another.
It wasn't easy to get a photo of this, such was the reflection (even of me!). But I felt it was worth trying in view of the important William Wordsworth connection.

Your images around Rydal reminds me of holidays we had their, very enjoyable. We once visited the church to see the daffodils and the organist was practicing inside.....delightful.
