Holiday Time!

It's that time again. Tomorrow I'm off on holiday to Inverness for 8 nights. Therefore there won't be any updates on this North West Images site until Friday, 19th June.

As per usual I'll be taking a lot of photographs whilst away, some of which will no doubt appear on this site in due course.

Cockermouth: Part 5 of 5

Sunny in Cockermouth.
The town was hit by horrendous floods in November 2009. Look how high the flood level was.

The Town Hall.
Guarded by two lions.

If it swims, flies or runs, we can get it.
Globe Hotel.
Another view of the Mayo Statue.

Formerly The Grand Theatre.
Mitchells Auctioneers. See photo below.
Robinson Mitchell. Sadly minus one hand. See photo below.

Cockermouth: Part 3 of 5

The road at this point crosses the River Cocker, which is below the metal railings on the right.
Cockermouth Antique Market.

Sun shining on the River Cocker.
Old advertising on the side of the building.
The buildings are very colourful in the Market Place.

Looked good to me. Been there before, so was about to make a return visit!

Shampoochies!
Indigo Lounge.
A general view of Market Place.
Castle Bar. Loved the contrast between the blue sky and the colour of the building.
