Clachnaharry

Whilst walking along the Caledonian Canal toward the village of Clachnaharry we were surprised to come across a Titanic Exhibition. The signs didn't exactly look professional, nor inviting, which was a shame. There was another entrance from the road on the other side of the Exhibition though.
A very impressive and large model of The Titanic, as seen from the canal towpath.
The Titanic model. Quite an impressive sight.
The railway swing bridge over the Caledonian Canal at Clachnaharry. The line goes off in the distance towards Dingwall. then to either Thurso/Wick or the Kyle of Lochalsh.
The main road through the former fishing village of Clachnaharry.
Looking back toward Inverness with the Kessock Bridge just visible in the distance.
There was originally a railway station at Clachnaharry, which opened in 1869, as part of the Inverness and Ross-shire railway, however, it was closed as long ago as 1913.
Having walked the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Clachnaharry, our incentive was to reach the Inn!! We then had to walk back, but on the road rather than the canal.

The Clachnaharry Inn.
