On the first day of our recent holiday to Inverness, we visited the nearby town of Forres. The main street, which is dominated by the distinctive Tolbooth building and tower. |
A number of these 'cut down' whisky barrels from the local Distillery were dotted around the town and used as an attractive flower bed. |
St. Leonard's Church, which was first used in 1903. |
The Town Hall building. |
Good to note that the old signage is still in place for Pat MacKenzie, an Ironmongers. |
Another view of the Tolbooth building. The foundation stone is dated 1838. |
Carving of a face on the monument which is pictured in the previous image. |
Down by the river. |
An attractive town, lots of the sort of things I like to photograph.
