Holehird Gardens are situated near, and high above Windermere, on the road to Kirkstone Pass. The Lakeland Horticultural Society lease the gardens from the Holehird Trust. They are open to the public all the year round and are free to visit. They cover a substantial area, so allow plenty of time to walk around them.

| Now I have a confession. Whilst I like looking and photographing the different varieties, shapes and colours of flowers, my knowledge - i.e. being able to name them - is on a par with what I know about the surface of Jupiter. So I'll let some of the images 'do the talking for me' and I am sure some of you will be able to name the flowers and plants. |

A lovely setting, I'm fairly sure we've visited here in the past. Quality images as usual. Sorry not to have commented just recently, I've been busy and you appear to have gone into overdrive with your postings! I'm up to date with them now and have enjoyed viewing them all. David.
