A Walk Around Silverdale

The village of Silverdale is near Carnforth and is a designated 'Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty.'  Gibralter Farm and through the trees, Lindeth Tower.

Lindeth Tower is a Grade II listed building. Author Elizabeth Gaskell wrote her famous novels, 'North and South,' 'Wives and Daughters,' and 'Cranford' in the tower during the 1840s and 50s. The latter was successfully serialised by the BBC.
