Hexham Abbey

Hexham Abbey in Northumberland,. There has been a church on this site for over 1,300 years. Entrance to the Abbey.

  1. Lovely photos of Hexham Abbey Mike! I have visited Hexham quite a few times yet don't remember ever going into the Abbey! It's quite beautiful inside. Last time I was in Hexham, (during the 1990's) it was during Summer and we sat not far from the Abbey at the Lawn Bowling Club and watched the locals playing bowls. To this day I remember how beautiful the club grounds were with the backdrop of the Abbey as a bonus. :) Thanks for sharing your photos.
