Canal Walk: Bolton-Le-Sands To Carnforth: Part 2 of 2

Continuing the walk along the Lancaster Canal towpath. Conditions were absolutely perfect to create these reflections.

Narrowboat folk are more often than not a friendly bunch and always speak to those plodding along the towpath. This couple are about to get under way after a gentle push with the foot!
A tranquil scene.

Under another bridge.

Getting ever closer to the end of the walk in Carnforth.
One man and his dog.

It was hot and I was getting ever more thirsty, looking forward to an ale at The Snug in Carnforth. The thought of that was definitely a good incentive to keep going!

The greens and colours in general were absolutely stunning,
Here comes another narrowboat .....
.... And there she goes.
Carnforth in sight!
The Canal Turn pub. I went by! The Snug was 'calling,'
Canal Turn, Carnforth. Have a close look at the sign.

  1. Very typical of the memories I have of canal walks and why I really enjoy them. Someone has been very naughty with that sign, amusing, though not to be condoned!
