Carnforth

Market Street, shortly after a downpour, hence the puddle!
Carnforth station buildings.
The former Post office building.

Once a cinema, now the co-operative supermarket. Note, after the rain, blue sky! Crazy weather.
The War Memorial
A closer look.

Sailly-Sur-La-Lys is Carnforth's twin town in France. It is a large farming village situated 24 miles south west of Lille.

Carnforth Fire Station.
A little further up Market Street.
Market Street, looking in the opposite direction.
The Queen's Hotel has been closed and looking 'sorry for itself'  for quite some time, but has, I understand, now been bought and will reopen as a pub.
Rocking Horse sale.
The well established Booths supermarket.
There will soon be competition for Booths, as Aldi are to open a supermarket on the site next door.
Site clearance begins for the new Aldi store.
A pair of canines watching the world go by.
