Bowness

It was a damp, misty day in Bowness, The atmospheric conditions causing low cloud to drift across and along Windermere. It was perfect for photography.
With the low cloud hanging over the wood - it almost looks like smoke - one of the small passenger vessels on the far side of the lake, heading off to Lakeside at the south end of Windermere.
A few canoeists.
Another passenger vessel under a swirl of cloud.
Looking across to Bowness Pier.

'Teal' about to depart Bowness Pier.
There she goes. Next stop Waterhead.
I had a vision of a queue of ducks around the block waiting to snap up this very special offer.
I wonder where the Lucky Swan Food shop is?

Rowing boats for hire.
The low cloud is still hanging over Windermere.
The lake was quite high and has partially covered this jetty.

The cloud seems to have got thicker in the background.

'Miss Cumbria.'
'Miss Lakeland.'
How can anyone not fall in love with the beauty of the Lake District?
