It was a damp, misty day in Bowness, The atmospheric conditions causing low cloud to drift across and along Windermere. It was perfect for photography. |
With the low cloud hanging over the wood - it almost looks like smoke - one of the small passenger vessels on the far side of the lake, heading off to Lakeside at the south end of Windermere. |
A few canoeists. |
Another passenger vessel under a swirl of cloud. |
Looking across to Bowness Pier. |
'Teal' about to depart Bowness Pier. |
There she goes. Next stop Waterhead. |
I had a vision of a queue of ducks around the block waiting to snap up this very special offer. |
I wonder where the Lucky Swan Food shop is? |
Rowing boats for hire. |
The low cloud is still hanging over Windermere. |
The lake was quite high and has partially covered this jetty. |
The cloud seems to have got thicker in the background. |
'Miss Cumbria.' |
'Miss Lakeland.' |
How can anyone not fall in love with the beauty of the Lake District? |
