Manchester Cathedral

Manchester Cathedral became the Cathedral of the new Manchester Diocese in 1847. It is a Grade 1 listed building.

There was a steady flow of folk looking around the Cathedral during the time I was there.

Statue of Humphrey Chetham.

The stained glass windows are of modern design, the originals being destroyed during the Second World Air Raids, when the Cathedral sustained considerable damage.

A final look at the outside of the Cathedral.
