A photographic journey around the North West Of England, mainly Cumbria and North Lancashire, but sometimes further afield. An ageing, but enthusiastic amateur photographer, with a very well used bus pass, however, occasionally travelling by train or car. Please Note: None of the images are digitally enhanced in any way - what you see is what I see.

Inverness War Memorial
There are many interesting plaques and stones at the War Memorial in Inverness, which is situated alongside the River Ness. A selection of them follow below, and for once there is no need for photo captions as they are self explanatory.
It reads like a "who's who" of battle campaigns and comes as quite a revelation as to how many conflicts there have been over the years. Well worth recording.
