A Walk In The Lower Kentmere Valley

The Kentmere valley is off the usual 'tourist track,' but is well known to locals. As a result, it is a peaceful area even in the height of summer. The walk started in the village of Staveley which was featured a couple of days ago.
A very rural post box. I wonder how many use it?
You follow the River Kent on the walk. There was quite an impressive sound of water at this point
Rustic and home made signs.
Follow the lane, which gets narrower.
The River Kent is a little more peaceful at this point.
A seat that has seen better days.
Continuing and following the River Kent up the Kentmere valley.
I liked the light and shadow effect on this gateway.

Reflections in the water lying in the lane.

Turn right here.
You cannot get away from the sound of the water.

A peaceful place to stop a while. You can get down to the river edge at this point.
You do not have to go into the heart of the Lake District to appreciate natural beauty such as this. You hardly see anyone else either.. Just a handful of fellow walkers and the occasional car passing by.
Gushing, swirling, river.
Looking back down the Kentmere valley.
