| The Kentmere valley is off the usual 'tourist track,' but is well known to locals. As a result, it is a peaceful area even in the height of summer. The walk started in the village of Staveley which was featured a couple of days ago. |

| You do not have to go into the heart of the Lake District to appreciate natural beauty such as this. You hardly see anyone else either.. Just a handful of fellow walkers and the occasional car passing by. |
