The Battery has been closed and up for sale for quite some time. At one stage pub chain Wetherspoon were reported to be interested in taking over the building, but it remains empty. |

The Victoria Hotel closed some time ago, but the building is now being put to use again, and will become flats. Pleasing to note that the old name 'Victoria Hotel' has been uncovered and retained. |

A really varied set of pics Mike, nice to see "Eric" and the Midland Hotel appealed to me as a fan of Art Deco design. I've seen Morecombe Bay a few times from the Grange Over sands side and it looks very inviting but, as you pointed out, it can catch you out!
