| The gale force winds this morning, gusting up to 70 m.p.h., brought a tree down at the junction of Oxcliffe Road and Fairfield Road in Morecambe. |

| Cutting the tree up to clear the road. It was lucky no one was hurt when it fell, and that it toppled into the road and not onto the adjacent bungalows, out of picture on the right. |
