A Walk Around Ulverston: Part 1 of 2

A two-part visit to Ulverston, starting with the cobbled Market Street.
Watch out for the Elves.
And the Gnomes.
Further along Market Street.
It is surprising what you can see when you look up at buildings. Such as the long gone Swarthmoor and Ulverston ..... (See next image).
.... Co-Operative Society Limited.
The modern day Co-operative store, much smaller, just across the road from the old one.
Local newspaper offices.
One of several wall murals as can be seen from the following images.

I liked the shadow of the lamp on the wall of Smith's Court.
A hand cart.
This old building is on the corner of Soutergate and Fountain Street.
Hoad's Monument as seen from Fountain Street. (Pic - Mooncat755).

(Tomorrow we continue Part 2 of the walk around Ulverston)

  1. What a great town to photograph with lots of quirky bits. All I remember of our visit there years ago was the Laurel & Hardy museum.
