There was a food market underway when I visited the East Lancashire town of Accrington a few days ago. Held in and outside the Town Hall, it seemed to be a pretty popular event. |
A variety of burgers were on sale. No horse though? |
Exhibitors were present from quite a wide area, including the Snowdonia Cheese Company. |

Inside the Market. |
Three Market shoppers taking a rest. |
There were also stalls outside the Market itself, selling everything from Doggie Bags to Dish Cloths. |
Accrington town centre. |
This is the rather claustrophobic Arndale Centre in Accrington. Totally without architectural merit. |
Another view of the centre. |
The pigeons were feeding off scraps dropped by shoppers. |
